The  Space Systems Engineering course at the University of Southampton  is organised and run by academic staff members in the Astronautics Group, who also lecture and have considerable expertise and experience in their specific research fields. This expertise is complemented by that of engineers from STFC RAL Space, Airbus Defence and Space, DLR-GSOC, the Surrey Space Centre and ESA. The group have delivered similar courses for the ESA Training Department, at ESTEC in the Netherlands as well as courses at ESA Headquarters in Paris, ESOC in Darmstadt, ESRIN in Italy, ESAC in Madrid, Airbus DS in the UK and STFC RAL Space.
