Overview
Covering computing environments, IT governance frameworks (CoBIT 5, COSO, King IV), risk assessment, and security management, the course also addresses audit methodologies and project governance. Students will learn to conduct general control reviews, interpret audit procedures, and prepare IT audit reports.
Designed for aspiring IT auditors, compliance professionals, and tech-savvy managers, this course enables students to support business objectives and mitigate risk through structured auditing processes.
Outcomes
By the end of the Computer Auditing course at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, the student should be able to:

- analyse the laws relating to ICT that are endorsed by South Africa.
