Overview
What you will study
The Cancer Survivorship - Optimizing Care and Outcomes program offered by Harvard University will educate participants regarding the evolving evidence surrounding the unique medical risks and psychosocial concerns that cancer survivors face from diagnosis through long-term survivorship. The participants will learn to recognize evidence-based screening, prevention and management strategies for potential long-term, late effects and how to tailor these for patients at varying risks for problems. This course will also introduce, highlight and encourage the participant to utilize the emerging body of guidelines, tools, and resources that are available to optimize the coordination and delivery of survivorship care.

- Describe the trends in cancer survivorship
- The role of providers after initial cancer treatment
- Identify the medical and psychosocial needs of diverse cancer survivors
- Develop strategies to address those needs
- Review updated evidence and tools to enhance the delivery and coordination of care for cancer survivors

- This course is designed for Primary Care Physicians, Community and Academic Oncologists, Hematologists and other medical and surgical specialists.
