About

University of Milano - Bicocca's B-Youth Summer School aims to critically explore young people’s participation in decision-making processes, considering the multiple ways in which they develop their own sense of agency in everyday life.

Overview

University of Milano - Bicocca's B-Youth Summer School will be an exciting opportunity for young researchers to reflect on the emerging theoretical perspectives on the debates concerning democracy, participation, and inclusion.

Key facts

  • Investigating the ways and the contexts in which possibilities to be “active agents” within society are shaped is – we believe – a key to understanding how young people can act in order to make the changes we need to create more just and inclusive societies.
  • Undeniably, fostering the active involvement of young people in decisions about the future of our societies represents a fundamental cornerstone when we are committed to reimagining a more sustainable and inclusive world, where inclusion and participation become real and everyone has the freedom to act on the basis of what they truly value.
