Overview
The 2026 edition of the Summer School will focus on playwriting and the rewriting and adaptation of literary texts for theater and stage performance.
Through intensive workshops, led by renowned performance and playwriting specialists, participants will deepen their knowledge of playwriting through exercises, thematic seminars, and group lessons. Dramaturgical models will be proposed aimed at producing increasingly complex texts, ultimately developing skills and, above all, a sensitivity to the scenic dimension within the context of writing.
The Summer School will be activated with at least 10 students. The maximum number of participants is set to 20 students.Selection will be made according to order of application.
The Summer School will be held on campus in Pisa, in Pisa, at Centro Congressi Le Benedettine, Piazza San Paolo a Ripa D’Arno, 16.

Objectives:
Primary objective of the Summer School is to develop specific skills in the analysis and production of theatrical texts through full immersion in workshop activities. Another objective is to reflect on the use of dramatic texts in teaching for inclusion purposes and the development of innovative methodologies.
Finally, as part of the CECIL excellence project, close reading of the text will also allow students to develop strategies to counter linguistic impoverishment.
