What you will learn
This Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults course at Red River College Polytechnic will help you learn to plan, promote, deliver and evaluate effective programs for clients in personal care homes, extended hospital care, adult day centres, assisted living and other community-based programs.
You will also explore workplace safety, privacy and health regulations through written assignments, group projects, oral presentations and engaging classes.

- As a student in the Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults program, you are patient and team-oriented. You also excel at listening and multitasking.
- If you completed 3 years of full-time high school in a Manitoba French Immersion or Division scolaire franco-manitobaine (DSFM) School, you meet English language requirements.
- If not, submit proof of meeting an ELR option within 15 days of applying.
