About

This Communication tools for palliative care and end of life course offered by Cardiff University will facilitate learning, understanding and practical application of a comprehensive set of communication tools to help with all conversations.

Overview

Effective communication skills are a fundamental part of health and social care professionals’ delivery of palliative and end of life care.

What you will study

  • The ‘Cardiff 6 point toolkit’, a collection of effective communication skills’ tools is central to the teaching and provides opportunity for recognisable scholarship and academic output from the courses.
  • Using the Cardiff 6 point toolkit as a basis for teaching enables us to demonstrate the tools in all the different types of consultation that may occur in palliative and end of life care. This Communication tools for palliative care and end of life course offered by Cardiff University will cover that.
