Overview
TEDEI focusses in detail on neurological presentations and is rich in videoed examples of typical and atypical infant movement. It includes a simple “traffic light” guide on what action to take when motor difficulties are observed, with examples of how to approach identified difficulties with families.
Features
Achieving improved detection of emerging motor difficulties in young infants is critical to supporting families and providing affected infants with timely intervention. Early provision of support is also crucial to the well-being of infants and their families.
The long-term aim of this TEDEI - Training in Early Detection for Early Intervention course at Newcastle University is that as many infants as possible are identified early, and entered into effective early intervention programmes.
