Overview
This Summer School is a full-immersion course that guides students in learning the technical and theoretical procedures applied to the study of biological structures (tissues, cells, organelles).
The course includes:
At the end of the course students will have acquired knowledge of the state of the art in the main morphological approaches that can be used in basic and applied research.
The Summer School will be activated with at least 2 students. The maximum number of participants is set to 20 students.
The Summer School will be held on campus in Pisa, at Polo Nobili, via Alessandro Volta, 4.

The aim of this Summer School is to provide students with an in-depth introduction to morphological studies, presenting the state of the art from classical methodologies to the most recent approaches.
Audience
The Summer School is focused on the fundamentals of optical (OM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
It is open to PhD students, to highly motivated undergraduates who plan to start research activities involving these techniques, and to postdocs interested in enriching their experimental work with OM/TEM.
Senior researchers are also welcome.
