Overview
The Graphic Skills for Urban Studies course from UCL Summer School will introduce you to a range of graphic skills that can be used to observe, record and analyse urban settings to substantiate proposals for improvement.
You will produce presentation panels that communicate coherent, clear and legible information on urban analysis, before proceeding to produce a poster that reasons an inclusive environment proposal.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students will have:
- Collected primary data specific to an urban environment and presented this information graphically.
- Understood, read and executed a variety of graphic techniques that complement each other to enable 2D and 3D representation of space and the urban environment.
- Analysed street composition and urban form through descriptive and observational analysis.
- Communicated through effective graphic layout composition.
