Overview
The From Classroom to Clinic - Essential Skills for Medicine course from UCL Summer School guides students through a methodical approach to history taking, examination, and the selection and interpretation of common investigations, while also developing leadership and problem-solving abilities.
You will explore the ethical and legal frameworks governing medical practice and understand their relevance to everyday clinical work. The module also focuses on professionalism, patient safety and effective communication with patients, relatives and colleagues. Teaching is interactive and includes practical skills sessions, group problem-solving and simulated role play.
