Strong computer science

I think the school is pretty decent, the computer science program is very strong and the faculty are obviously very passionate in their own work and also teaching it to others. I think the food options are good, but the workers there are pretty understaffed.

UW professional HCDE program

UW is a great school with excellent faculty, dedicated students, and great resources. I am a masters student in HCDE, which is a more professionally oriented program. We have a lot of professional events such as portfolio reviews, lectures on topics like storytelling in UX, whiteboarding sessions, and more.

Competitive UW Majors

I wouldn't recommend UW and the reason why is because of the competitive major system and harsh grading scales. If you don't get into a major from high school, you have to apply after you've finished all of the prerequisite courses in college. Many majors require difficult "weed-out courses" as prerequisites. These classes are graded on a curve targeting a 2.7 GPA, making it very challenging to earn high marks and get accepted into certain competitive majors.
